Division 2 – Monaghan 0-6 Laois 0-6: Conor McManus points another free and the sides are level once again.
Division 2 – Laois 0-7 Monaghan 0-6: And, of course, just as I type that Ross Munnelly gives Laois the advantage again.
The 3pm throw-ins are nearly upon us too:
Division 1 – Tyrone 0-10 Cork 1-5: Conor McAliskey stretches Tyrone’s lead approaching half-time.
Division 2 – Laois 0-8 Monaghan 0-7: Laois have missed a glorious chance to grab the game’s first goal just before half-time. Padraig McMahon scuffed his shot wide when he had a wide open Darren Strong beside him facing an open goal.
John O’Loughlin has pointed though to restore their lead after Kieran Hughes had briefly levelled.
Division 2 – Galway 2-8 Armagh 0-8: Kernan’s free taking is keeping Armagh in this one.
Half-Time
Division 2 – Galway 2-8 Armagh 0-9: A Jamie Clarke from play is the last action of the first half and Armagh trail by five.
Half-Time
Division 1 – Tyrone 0-12 Cork 1-5: Kyle Coney’s sixth point of the day from play gives Tyrone a four-point lead at the break.
Half-Time:
Division 4: Phillip Austin’s goal gives Tipperary a half-time lead of 3-8 to 0-10 against Leitrim. Elsewhere Clare lead Carlow by 1-10 to 2-4 while Wicklow have an 0-8 to 0-4 advantage against Waterford.
Half-Time

The 3pm games about to begin shortly. We’ll be following Kildare and Derry as well as Westmeath and Kerry in Division 1, not to mention Donegal and Louth in Division 2.
Division 1 – Tyrone 0-12 Cork 1-6: Early second-half goal chance for Cork but John O’Rourke blazes over the bar.
Interesting team news from Westmeath:
Division 2 – Monaghan 0-9 Laois 0-8: A great move by Monaghan results in a Dessie Mone point and the hosts have struck first in the second half.
Division 1 – Derry 0-1 Kildare 0-0: Emmett McGuckin gets the games first score but it could well have been a goal for Derry.
Division 2 – Galway 2-8 Armagh 0-10: Kevin Dyas gets the first score of the second-half in Tuam.
Division 1 – Derry 0-2 Kildare 0-0: Mark Lynch has Derry’s second point. Kildare have already kicked two wides in the opening minutes.
Division 1 – Kerry 0-1 Westmeath 0-0: Kerry had the ball in the net but it was disallowed. They followed it up with the games first point, however.
Division 1 – Tyrone 0-13 Cork 1-8: Little between the teams now with Cork having cut into Tyrone’s lead through Hurley and Hayes.
Division 2 – Donegal 0-2 Louth 0-0: Declan Walsh and Colm McFadden have opened the scoring for Donegal and there’s been a black card for Louth’s Dessie Finnegan. Far from an ideal start for the Wee County.
Division 4 – Clare 1-17 Carlow 2-7: Now seven points to spare for the Banner.
Division 1 – Derry 1-2 Kildare 0-0: It’s not looking good for Kildare in the early stages and Cailean O’Boyle has found the net for the hosts.
Division 2 – Galway 2-9 Armagh 0-10: Armagh’s Gary McCooey has seen the line after a high tackle results in a black card. McCooey was shown a yellow earlier in the game.
Division 1 – Cork 1-10 Tyrone 0-13: Hurley points a free to draw Cork level after Colm O’Neill had converted a free moments before.
Division 2 – Monaghan 0-11 Laois 0-9: As they were at the start of the first, Monaghan have been the side in the opening stages of the second-half, Conor McManus with yet another free and they lead by two.
Division 2 – Galway 2-9 Armagh 1-10: Now this is interesting. Tony Kernan has Armagh’s first goal and they now trail by just two having been six down not long before half-time.
Division 2 – Donegal 0-6 Louth 0-1: It’s been all Donegal in the opening stages of this one, Christy Toye with their latest.
Division 1 – Cork 2-10 Tyrone 0-13: Cracking goal by Colm O’Neill for Cork after good work from Patrick Kelly and Andrew O’Sullivan. They lead midway through the second-half.
Division 1 – Derry 1-3 Kildare 1-0: Kildare have raised the green flag, Keith Cribbin with the fisted goal.
Division 2 – Monaghan 0-11 Laois 0-9: Darren Strong steadies the ship for Laois and they now trail by just two.
Division 2: Galway 2-10 Armagh 1-11: A much needed point from Michael Martin gives the Tribesmen just their second score of the second-half.
Division 1 – Cork 2-12 Tyrone 0-14: 57 mins – Cork surge in front with Barry O’Driscoll hitting their latest point.
Division 1 – Kerry 0-4 Westmeath 0-3: Kerry lead by just a point mid-way through the first half.
Division 2 – Donegal 0-7 Louth 0-1: Dermot Molloy kicks Donegal into a six point lead.
Division 4 – Tipperary 5-11 Leitrim 0-14: Tipperary on course to clinch promotion to Division 3 it seems. Ian Fahey gets in on the goalscoring act while Conor Sweeney raises his second green flag of the day.
Division 2 – Monaghan 0-15 Laois 0-11: Dessie Mone has pointed his second contender for score of the game and Monaghan seem to be racing away at the right time.
Division 4 – Clare 2-20 Carlow 2-10: Looks like Clare are going to push hard for promotion as well. They’re 10 points clear of Carlow at the moment. Win that and they’ll only need a point next week to go up.
Division 1 – Derry 1-4 Kildare 1-0: Kildare have still failed to score a point after 22minutes. They’ve kicked five wides in that time though; Cailean O’Boyle extends Derry’s lead to four.
Division 1 – Cork 2-13 Tyrone 0-15: Four point lead now for Cork with seven minutes remaining. They’re closing in on a league semi-final place.
Division 2 – Galway 2-10 Armagh 1-13: And we’ve a tie game in Tuam with Moriarty getting the equalising score.
Division 1 – Cork 2-13 Tyrone 0-16: Nervy finale in store here for the locals. Niall Morgan pings over a ’45 for Tyrone but they nearly came close to goal twice in quick succession with Colm Cavanagh’s shot being blocked by Fintan Goold and then Martin Penrose seeing his effort diverted wide by new goalkeeper David Hanrahan.
Division 1 – Derry 1-6 Kildare 1-1: Cribbin adds to his goal with Kildare’s first free after 26 minutes.
Division 2 – Donegal 0-12 Louth 0-1: It’s turning into a rout in Ballyshannon, and they now lead by 11 points.
Division 2 – Galway 2-13 Armagh 1-13: Galway have responded in some style in Tuam, with Farragher and Conroy pointing and they lead by three again.
Division 1 – Cork 2-14 Tyrone 0-19: 69 mins – Cork clinging on now as Tyrone attack strongly with Sean Cavanagh and Coney cutting the deficit to the minimum.
Division 1 – Kerry 1-6 Westmeath 0-6: This is turning into a tougher day at the office than some might have imagined for the Kingdom but Kieran O’Leary’s goal has given them some breathing room.
Division 2 – Monaghan 0-17 Laois 0-14: Laois are back with a score of Monaghan thanks to Darren Strong’s fourth point of the game. We’re in injury time in Clones.
Result – Division 4: Tipperary 5-16 Leitrim 0-16
Result – Division 1: Cork 2-14 Tyrone 0-20
Division 2 – Donegal 0-14 – Louth 0-1: Louth have picked up their second black card, this time Eoin O Connor was the culprit.
Ronan O’Neill’s late point from a free crowns Tyrone’s comeback as they grab a draw. But the result is good enough for Cork to clinch a league semi-final place on April 13th.
Full-Time: Division 1 – Galway 2-14 Armagh 1-13: There have been lots of question marks over the state of Galway football but this was a good win for the Tribesmen.
Tipperary are promoted to Division 3 of the football league after that comprehensive win over Leitrim today.
Full-Time: Division 2 – Monaghan 0-19 Laois 0-14: Not a good result for Laois as they’ll be leapfrogged by Galway at the bottom of Division 2 but the hosts will move on to nine points at the top of the table.
Half-Time:
Division 2 – Donegal 0-13 Louth 1-1: Shane Lennon has found the net for Louth but they look a long way away from mounting any kind of comeback in this game.
Half-Time
Division 1 – Kerry 1-6 Westmeath 0-9: Kerry have been off the pace in Cusack Park and the sides are all square going into the break after Westmeath got the last three scores of the first-half.
Half-Time
Division 1 – Derry 1-7 Kildare 1-3: A point for Kildare on the half-time whistle makes this a four point game but the visitors must be worried about the number of costly wides they kicked in the opening period.
The teams in the 3pm throw-ins are back out but we’ve yet to see a score.
Division 2 – Donegal 0-14 Louth 1-1: And bang on cue Donegal get us under way with Christy Toye pointing with his right foot.
Division 1 – Derry 1-8 Kildare 1-3: Mark Lynch scores a free after Gary White receives a black card for the visitors.
Division 1 – Kerry 2-7 Westmeath 0-10: Westmeath actually took the lead briefly in Cusack Park but a James O’Donoghue point — his first of the game — and a Paul Geaney goal has given Kerry a three point lead.
Division 1 – Derry 1-9 Kildare 1-3: Derry are stretching their lead again Ciaran McFaul putting six between the sides.
Division 1 – Derry 2-9 Kildare 1-3: And that could be all she wrote for Kildare after Lynch buries Derry’s second goal of the game.
Division 2 – Donegal 0-14 Louth 1-2: Louth now trail by nine in Ballyshannon after Shane Lennon’s free.
Division 1 – Derry 2-10 Kildare 1-4: Benny Heron replies for Derry after Fergal Conway got the visitors’ first score of the second half.
Decent crowd in Division 2:
Division 1 – Kerry 2-11 Westmeath 0-11: Westmeath are now six points behind and Kerry have found that extra gear in the second period.
Division 1 – Derry 2-13 Kildare 1-5: Johnny Doyle on for his 153rd appearance in a competitive game for Kildare kicks a free but his side need goals here.
Division 2 – Donegal 0-16 Louth 3-4: Donegal have taken their foot off the gas here and Louth are punishing them; Brian White and Paddy Keenan have scored two quick goals and they now trail by just three.
Division 1 – Kerry 2-13 Westmeath 0-12: The Kingdom’s pair of goals are proving crucial here but there’s still time for Westmeath to fight back.
Division 2 – Donegal 1-16 Louth 3-5: That’s better from Donegal as David Walsh scores a maximum for the Division 2 leaders before Shane Lennon almost grabs Louth’s fourth goal. He has to settle for a point though.
Division 1 – Derry 2-14 Kildare 1-9: Kildare are still dealing in points when they need to be bothering the umpire on the other side of the goalposts. Derry lead by eight as we approach the final ten minutes.
Division 1 – Kerry 2-14 Westmeath 0-13: Kerry have been better in the second half if not at their best. With three minutes remaining though they look to have done enough.
Division 2 – Donegal 1-17 Louth 3-6: McFadden’s free puts five between the sides and after a brief scare they look to have inflicted a sixth successive league defeat on Louth.
Full-Time
Division 1 – Kerry 2-15 Westmeath 0-13: It’s all over in Cusack Park and Westmeath’s loss ensures but they and Kildare will be relegated to Division 2 with the pair ‘battling it out’ for bottom spot next week.
Division 2 – Donegal 1-19 Louth 3-7: Shane Lennon has been a bright spot for Louth but Donegal are easing home now as we enter injury time.
Full-Time
Division 2 – Donegal 1-19 Louth 3-7: This ended up being a lot closer than most would have expected with Louth’s two quick-fire second half goals but Donegal hold on well to record the win.
Full-Time:
Division 1 – Derry 2-17 Kildare 3-9: Two goals from Kildare — by Eamonn Callaghan and Tommy Moolik — in the fading embers of this game came far too late and Derry run out five point winners.
So after today’s results the state of play in the Allianz National Football League is as follows:
Division 1
Kildare and Westmeath are relegated.
Division 2
Louth are relegated.
Division 3
Offaly are relegated
Division 4
Tipperary promoted
And that’s it from me. Thanks as always for reading, hopefully your county got the result they wanted today.
