Here's how the next All-Ireland football qualifier draw will work

The round 3B winners will be joined by beaten Connacht and Ulster finalists.

THE FIELD IN the race for Sam Maguire will be whittled down again this weekend following Saturday’s All-Ireland football qualifiers.

Two from Tipperary, Tyrone, Galway and Derry will be twiddling their thumbs for the remainder of the summer following the round 3B clashes.

The two winners from the weekend will advance to round 4B of the All-Ireland qualifiers, to be joined by the losing provincial finalists from Connacht and Ulster.

The round 4B draw will take place next Monday morning, 20 July, on RTÉ Radio 1 after the 8.30am news. The draws will also be streamed live on www.gaa.ie

After the intricacies of previous rounds, it’s far more straightforward this time.

Football – Round 4B

These games are scheduled to take place on Saturday, 1 August.

This draw involves the two winning teams from Round 3B (Tipperary/Tyrone and Galway/Derry) in bowl 1.

The beaten Ulster and Connacht Finalists (Sligo/Mayo and Monaghan/Donegal) will be in bowl 2.

This draw is subject to avoidance of repeat pairings, e.g. Donegal v Tyrone, Donegal v Derry and Mayo v Galway.

Confirmation of venues, times etc for these fixtures will be confirmed by the CCCC on Monday afternoon.
