Mayo and Kildare set for showdown after today's All-Ireland football qualifiers draw

Cavan will renew their rivalry with Derry in an all-Ulster affair.

THE ALL-IRELAND ROUND 3 football qualifiers draw has taken place this morning with Mayo handed another home tie, this time against Kildare.

Cian O’Neill brings his Kildare side to Mayo, a side he coached when they reached the All-Ireland final in 2012.

In the draw made this morning, Cavan are set to host Ulster rivals Derry, while both Sligo and Clare will fancy their chances of progressing after they were drawn against one another. Both of those ties are on the 3A side of the draw.

Giant killers Longford, who stunned Monaghan on Saturday, will take on Cork. Longford’s home ground Pearse Park won’t be able to host the Rebels, so the game could take place in Carrick-on-Shannon, Mullingar or Tullamore.

The games will take place this weekend on 16-17 July. The exact dates and times for the games are still to be confirmed.
