OFFALY WILL FACE the losers of next Sunday’s Leinster semi-final between Dublin and Kildare after the draw was made for the All-Ireland football qualifier round 2A this morning.
The Faithful will be hoping to build on their emphatic win over Waterford on Saturday for the next stage of the qualifiers.
Elsewhere Antrim, winners over Laois on Saturday, will take on Fermanagh, who they lost to earlier this year in the Ulster championship.
Beaten Munster finalists Clare will entertain Longford, who saw off Carlow in Saturday night’s qualifier tie.
And Roscommon, shocked by Sligo in Saturday’s Connacht semi-final, must try to pick themselves up with a showdown with Cavan for the second successive year in the qualifiers.
The games will be played on Saturday 4 July with times and venus to be confirmed later today.
Here’s the draw in full and the first named team will have home advantage.
Round 2A
Antrim v Fermanagh
Offaly v Dublin/Kildare
Clare v Longford
Cavan v Roscommon
Stepped up to the mark last season for Connacht under a huge amount of pressure. Can’t see him ever making ground internationally in Ireland though, so it sounds like a good move for him.
Agree 100% with that, very much an unsung hero of the Pro12 winning season, absolutely crucial in some of those end of season games. Best of luck to the guy, I hope he makes it with Canada!
