Expected to return to Arsenal this weekend, is 'sick' Alexis Sanchez playing games?

The Chilean has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain.

ARSENE WENGER REVEALED yesterday that Alexis Sanchez would return to Arsenal for pre-season training this weekend but the Chilean striker is now reportedly suffering from flu as rumours still circulate about a possible move elsewhere.

Sanchez featured for his country at the summer’s Confederations Cup before taking an overdue holiday.

Wenger told Arsenal’s official website that both Sanchez and defender Shkodran Mustafi would train on Sunday, while the club take on Sevilla in the Emirates Cup.

However, it now appears that Sanchez is under the weather and will not be back with Arsenal in the coming days.

With Wenger and the club seemingly adamant that the 28-year-old won’t be sold in this transfer window, it adds further fuel to Sanchez possibly trying to force a way out of the Emirates.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have been heavily linked with the attacker, whose current Arsenal contract expires in the summer of 2018.
