Alex Pearce was asked an unexpected question about Roy Keane today

The Irish defender was clearly caught off guard by the surprise question.

IRELAND DEFENDER ALEX Pearce was on media duty today, and Derby’s new signing was asked one question he clearly wasn’t expecting, after the Irish management team were involved in a “very minor” collision on the M50 last night.

TV3 presenter and The42 columnist Tommy Martin asked Pearce if he’d “like to rear-end’ Roy Keane, prompting much amusement from the assembled press, and his teammate Robbie Brady, whose reaction says it all.

Martin subsequently conceded his question “came out wrong,” before Pearce wisely responded: “I’m going to let you [answer that].”

It’s still only the second most undignified moment in football that the former Reading defender has been involved in, however.
