THE WAR OF words between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor is rumbling on, and the latest topic is the use of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs).

During a hectic media tour to promote their UFC featherweight title bout on 11 July, McGregor suggested that the champion may have previously taken PEDs, claiming that ‘maybe it’s Brazilian culture’.

However, Aldo has now responded via his translator: “He’s the one that’s taking substances. There’s no surprise why he fights in this weight class. In his country, they don’t even have a commission to put rules on it.

“Something that I’m going to do, I’m going to ask for doping tests to be given (to McGregor) every single week, and I’m here to be tested to prove that (I’m clean).”

The UFC have released the latest episode of ‘Embedded’, which features McGregor meeting his body double and being fitted for a new suit. You can never have too many.
