Alan Pardew is a Premier League manager once again

The 56-year-old has been named West Brom boss this morning.

WEST BROM HAVE CONFIRMED Alan Pardew as their new manager.

The Baggies have been looking to replace Tony Pulis since sacking him last week after a run of 10 Premier League matches without a win.

They currently sit 16th place in the table after two draws — including a 2-2 with Newcastle United last night — under caretaker boss Gary Megson.

However, it has been announced this morning that former West Ham, Charlton, Southampton, Newcastle and Crystal Palace boss Pardew has signed a two-and-a-half year deal to take charge at The Hawthorns.

“I’m thrilled with the opportunity Albion have provided and looking forward to getting to work with what I consider to be a talented group of players,” said Pardew.

“The immediate challenge will be to get the results we need to pull ourselves up the table. But I’m aware that while I’m joining one of the great, traditional clubs of English football, it is one determined to go forward in the Premier League.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to play a part in that ambition.”

“Alan brings the experience of more than 300 Premier League games and the kind of dynamic leadership from which our club can benefit,” West Brom chairman John Williams added.

“We were impressed with what he had to say and what he has to offer and we are looking forward to an exciting new era under his charge.”
