THERE WAS DISAPPOINTING news for Aisling Daly late on Thursday night when it emerged that the injured Claudia Gadelha had withdrawn from their strawweight bout, which was set for UFC Fight Night 64 in Krakow a week on Saturday, 11 April.
However, it looks like Daly’s preparations for the fight won’t have been in vain, as the UFC have moved quickly to reschedule the Dubliner’s next bout.
UFC 186, headlined by the meeting of Kyoji Horiguchi and defending champion Demetrious Johnson for the UFC flyweight title, will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Saturday, 25 April.

The meeting with Markos offers Daly the opportunity to pick up her second successive UFC win and move closer to title contention. Although Markos was defeated by Jessica Penne in December’s UFC debut, she’s ranked seventh — two places higher than Daly.
Markos, an Iraq-born 29-year-old, will have home advantage against Daly having been raised in Canada. She made it to the semi-finals of The Ultimate Fighter last year before being defeated by beaten finalist Rose Namajunas.
