Ireland's only female UFC star has been added to the Dublin card

Ais Daly will compete at the 3Arena on 24 October.

ANOTHER FIGHT HAS been confirmed for UFC Fight Night 76, which is scheduled for Dublin this autumn.

Headlined by a lightweight bout between Dustin Poirier and Donegal’s Joseph Duffy, the event will take place at the 3Arena on Saturday, 24 October.

A tenth bout was confirmed for the bill this morning, and it will feature Ireland’s only female representative in MMA’s largest organisation.

Dublin’s Aisling Daly (15-6) has been booked for a strawweight contest against Brazil’s Ericka Almeida (7-1), with both fighters aiming to return to winning ways.

Daly finished on the wrong side of a unanimous decision against Randa Markos in April, while Almeida lost her UFC debut after going the distance with Juliana Lima in May.

A member of Ireland’s renowned Straight Blast Gym team, Daly joins team-mates Cathal Pendred and Paddy Holohan on the UFC Dublin card.

Daly, 27, will be fighting in her hometown for the first time since December 2013, when she submitted Karla Benitez at Cage Warriors 63 at The Helix.

Tickets for UFC Dublin are due to go on sale from Friday, 4 September. There are still more bouts to be added but here’s how the card looks so far:

Joseph Duffy vs. Dustin Poirier
Ben Rothwell vs. Stipe Miocic
Norman Parke vs. Reza Madadi
Cathal Pendred vs. Tom Breese
Nicolas Dalby vs. Darren Till
Paddy Holohan vs. Louis Smolka
Scott Askham vs. Krzysztof Jotko
