2 Munster club hurling titles for well-known Clare family in one incredible weekend

The Cunninghams are celebrating on the double.

THAT WAS ONE hell of a weekend in the Cunningham household.

On Saturday, Aaron and Jack played for Wolfe Tones as the club captured the AIB Munster intermediate hurling title before their father Alan played a key role in the backroom for senior kingpins Na Piarsaigh yesterday.

Senior panellist Aaron Cunningham starred on the Clare teams that captured three successive All-Ireland U21 crowns from 2012-2014.

And Alan is a former Clare and Offaly senior hurling team coach who has been working wonders behind the scenes alongside manager Shane O’Neill with Na Piarsaigh.

Aaron started for Wolfe Tones in Saturday’s victory over Cork outfit Newcestown and his brother Jack came off the bench as the club made history by adding a Munster intermediate crown to the senior title collected back in 1996.
