There was a mini swimming pool forming on the pitch at Richmond Park yesterday

The game between Pat’s and Rovers has been called off.

LAST NIGHT’S GAME between St Patrick’s Athletic and Shamrock Rovers won’t be going ahead after the pitch at Richmond Park was deemed unplayable.

A statement from the FAI on the cancellation read:

“Following a pitch inspection, the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division match between St Patrick’s Athletic and Shamrock Rovers (Richmond Park, KO 7.45pm) has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The game has been rescheduled for Monday at 7.45pm.
