Everyone hates Rovers for two reasons; they have dirty fans and get special treatment by the FAI over other clubs, like a free stadium, ALWAYS get the live match on RTE, and usually get the big money friendlies like Liverpool in the Aviva whilst teams like Limerick are stopped playing Barca by the FAI.
No Derek, everyone hates them because they’re so arrogant, they make the other dublin clubs look modest, which is saying something..
Re stadium.it was sdcc that has them as anchor tennents.if this was copied then the standard of grounds would be better.its a community stadium where other sports are held as well
Free stadium !?? That cost them more then most of the clubs in the league!! Friendlies organised by their shirt sponsor what’s that got to do with the fai??
As for live matches take that up with rte camera men who refuse to go to a lot of stadiums due to conditions of the stadiums!!
And as for fans every club has ‘dirty’ fans
That’s because the FAI can’t handle the really big clubs when they come to town Derek
Or your hated because your fans are the lowest of the low.
Good man yourself, Irelands number 1
Everyone hates your club for being the biggest and most successful in the league.
Is there any Cork City one? I actually liked this one despite being a City fan…
Always adored never ignored
Forever homeless.
There’s only 1 Louis Kilcoyne
Number 7, it wasn’t a shamrock rovers team, it was an all Ireland team (north and south), that wore the rovers kit as to not offend any of the Northern players/fans by wearing the Republic kit.
KOH Kilcoyne our Hero
What about screaming horrible abuse at 17-18 year old youth players of celtic who came over to dublin to play a friendly a few years for charity ?
Back in the 80s you’ll have lived in the jacks in Stephens green, and may have even witnessed an elephant getting sh*gged to death by Philip Greene.. Ah remember the days. Welcoming Rovers fans with open arms :)
